REQUIREMENTS OF NOMINEES

For over 90 years, the Linz Award has symbolized the highest form of recognition for civic service and humanitarian accomplishments in the City of Dallas. Information provided on the nomination form will help determine the recipient of the annual Linz Award.

To be eligible for the award, the nominee(s) must:

  • Have achieved extraordinary success participating in civic or humanitarian activities in Dallas. 

  • Be currently involved in community activities that have achieved extraordinary impact in civic or humanitarian service for at least 10 years in the City of Dallas.
  • Have received no monetary compensation for his or her efforts.

  • Be available for the Linz Award in 2024.
  • Not be an elected official.
  • Not be a previous Linz Award winner.
  • Be an individual or married couple. Group nominations are not eligible.

All nominations must be fully and accurately completed, with three letters of recommendation and any supplemental information. From the eligible nominations, a panel of civic and business leaders will select the recipient of the 95th Annual Linz Award. The presentation of the award will be made at the 2024 Linz Award event.

SUBMIT YOUR NOMINATION

All nominations must adhere to the following guidelines to be eligible for consideration:

  • Fill out form online below or download the nomination form and submit via mail.
  • Complete entire form thoroughly and accurately.
  • Submit or attach three letters of recommendation (per individual or couple).
  • Submit or attach no more than three pages of supporting information (optional).
  • Upload all materials into a single .zip file* to the form below by Sunday, December 31, 2023.

*How to create a ZIP file:

PC:

2. Right-click one of the files and select Send to, then select Compressed (zipped) folder.

3. A ZIP file will appear containing all the compressed data. You can rename the file as desired.

The winner(s) will be selected based on extraordinary civic and/or humanitarian efforts in the City of Dallas. Nominees must be currently involved in Dallas community activities. Please place significance on a nominee’s impact over the past decade or their lifetime.
